Level privacy policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Level is a spirit level and inclinometer app for Android. It does not collect, store, or share any personal or device data.

What the app uses

Level reads your phone's motion sensor to measure angles. Readings are processed on your device, only while the app is open, and are never saved or sent anywhere. An angle you save by tapping the screen is kept in memory only and is gone when you close the app.

What the app doesn't do

Level requests no permissions and has no internet access, so it cannot send data off your device. It contains no ads, accounts, analytics, or crash reporting libraries.

Crash reports

If you have opted in to sharing usage and diagnostics with Google, Android may send crash reports for Level to Google, which shares them with the developer through Google Play Console. This is controlled by your phone's settings, not by Level, and is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
